ENDING WOMEN’S MONTH WITH A MOVEMENT: EMPOWERING WOMEN TO CLEAN UP AND TRANSFORM OUR CITY.
In Randburg today, a cohort of women community leaders from the Joburg CBD, Alexandra and Diepsloot, led by Miss Earth South Africa semi-finalist, Mpho Moleya participated at the Women`s Action for Clean-up and Recyling which was organised by Clean City SA.
This initiative was more than just a clean-up; it`s a mission to restore dignity and safety to our communities. In areas plagued by a sense of disorder, frustration, and a lack of safety, where the spread of diseases and parasites creates anxiety and stress, and impacts overall life satisfaction, this event offered a beacon of hope.
As a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), we look forward to working with this cohort of women for the next 12 months, as they strive to transform their communities in terms of cleaning-ups and sorting of waste for recycling.
